About the Journal
The Petroleum Research Center Journal is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published annually, dedicated to publishing original, innovative, and previously unpublished research in theoretical and applied fields relevant to the objectives of the Petroleum Research Center and the Libyan oil and gas sector. Its scope includes petroleum engineering, chemical engineering, materials and corrosion engineering, geology, geochemistry, geophysics, environmental studies, and renewable energy.
The Journal aims to maintain high scientific and technical quality, support scientific research, disseminate petroleum and energy knowledge, promote industry awareness, and contribute to the local, regional, and international scientific community.
The Journal publishes one issue per year. Each issue is assigned a sequential volume and issue number, and each published article is assigned a unique DOI to support consistent citation and long-term bibliographic tracking.
2. Objectives
The Journal is established to pursue the following objectives:
- Publish original, innovative, and high-quality basic and applied research across energy- related fields, with particular emphasis on developments relevant to Libya’s oil and gas sector.
- Promote the dissemination and advancement of scientific and technical knowledge by providing a platform for researchers, academics, and industry professionals to exchange knowledge, experience, and expertise at local, regional, and international levels.
- Encourage scientific dialogue and collaboration by facilitating the exchange of research findings, ideas, and perspectives among specialists and researchers in relevant disciplines.
- Contribute to the development of scientific research and technological innovation by highlighting emerging developments, practical applications, and research that address current and future challenges in the oil, gas, energy, and related sectors.
3. Language of Publication
English is the primary language of the Journal. Abstracts of scientific works may also be published in Arabic.
4. Target Audience
The Journal serves researchers, academics, engineers, scientists, and energy professionals working in petroleum, chemical, geological, geophysical, geochemical, materials, corrosion, environmental and renewable energy fields. It welcomes contributions from universities, research institutions, national and international oil and gas companies, industry professionals, consultants, and graduate students engaged in petroleum and energy-related research.
